The Prescience tubas have been developed to achieve the highest possible musical response in a non-compensating compact format. Both instruments features include a large bell (410 mm/16.14”) with the traditional British style bell profile. Both models have a newly developed leadpipe that combined with the 16.80 mm/0.66” bore produces a rich and powerful tone throughout the instruments range.

 

 

The Prescience tubas are suitable for all applications from school wind bands through to brass and military bands where the compact nature of the instruments will be appreciated during marching use. These instruments are also suitable for the performing artist who needs a compact and portable non-compensating tuba for ensemble and studio use.

The York Preference EEb tuba is an exceptional, professional instrument. It has been developed especially for use in wind orchestras, brass bands and marching bands. The high positioned mouthpipe makes it suitable for parade use. The tuba is equipped with carrying strap and card holder. The smaller bore creates a bright, clear and centred tone.

 

 

The development of the new York Preference EEb tuba 3080 is based on the successful EEb tuba 3082. The instrument comes with a smaller bell (17”) and has an optimized lead pipe position. The 3080 tuba also produces a rich and warm sound and combines a well centered tone with an excellent response.

 

 

The York Preference BBb Tuba has YO-BB3094 an optimised bore beginning at the bottom bend. This has the advantage of a more open sound, an improved sound projection and playing comfort. The York Preference BBb tuba demonstrates perfect intonation throughout the registers and provides an immense dynamic range and powerful low register.
